I've been organizing the XXIII edition of the Colloquia of Musical Informatics for the AIMI, the Italian computer music association. The CIM is a long-standing conference organized by the AIMI every two years, usually featuring 3 days of scientific sessions, concerts and listening sessions.
The AIMI community welcomed me for the first time in 2012 and when they asked me if my university could be a possible candidate for hosting the 2022 edition I boldly said yes!
It came as a cost in terms of effort and fatigue, that is why this blog has been silent for months. Now that the conference is over I can say that it was a great experience, I managed to meet many people I admire and many friends.
Above all, I want to mention Sylviane Sapir, who entered in my heart and taught me a lot, Gianpaolo Antongirolami who shared all the burdens with me and Giancarlo Schiaffini for his humor and sincerity. I was blasted by the never-ending genius of composers such as Roberto Doati and Luigi Ceccarelli along with many others.
The concerts were possible thanks to the friendly support of the Ernst von Siemens foundation and the Comune di Ancona.
I want to thank the AIMI, and the associations that supported me: Acusmatiq MATME, UNIVPM, and all the sponsors.
During the CIM I've been elected member of the AIMI board, along with great researchers, teachers and composers. I believe it will be a great experience!
I just want to share a picture taken while packing all the stuff back home... tired after 5 tireless days, but glad!
